What a gorgeous and thoughtful collection by Francesco ; there is so much to admire. Kicking things off was an array of great shirt and spectacular pants styled to perfection with great vests without waistcoats, ties and tops which aren’t perfectly layered. The cut on the trousers is fantastic... just the right amount of taper, but also just roomy enough to look comfortable and move with ease. The details of this collection are surprising and amazing, if you look hard enough. I'd love to see individual pieces - there seem to be so many! They are all individual yet the collection is really cohesive. Things like the ribbon vest worn on a shirt, as shown in the photo above, are really lovely to me; I love to see bits of ribbon mixed with predominantly masculine pieces. ♥ ♥

What a gorgeous and thoughtful collection!
Overall this collection is just wonderful, for me. This is the type of things I like to see in menswear; unusual, yet wearable beauty. The details are staggering here... from the divine floral headpiece to the stitching, to the precise mixture of pastels and neutrals amidst the colorful floral accents...

The multiple images and sequences shown there where among others Duane Michals classic Chance Meeting.

Though a master of both shooting and darkroom technique, Michals is entirely self-taught and, in fact, credits much of his success to his lack of formal training.

"I was lucky because I never went to photography school and I didn't learn the photography rules," he says. "And in not learning the rules, I was free. I always say, you're either defined by the medium or your redefine the medium in terms of your needs."

Michals' role as something of an outsider and rebel seems to provide him with great amusement: "If I was concerned about being accepted, I would have been doing Ansel Adams look-a-likes, because that was easily accepted," he explains. "Everything that I did was never accepted...but luckily for me, my interest in the subject and my passion for the subject took me to that point that I wasn't wounded by that and eventually, people came around to me."

Dallo scorso 5 agosto fino al 30 settembre 2009 in via Montenapoleone a Milano compaiono delle singolari Fiat 500C, la nuova versione “trasformabile” della compatta torinese. Si di 20 repliche in scala 1:1 realizzate in vetroresina, e “cave” all’interno come vasi, per ospitare altrettanti alberi, di specie e dimensioni differenti.

Via Montenapoleone in Milan there appear singular Fiat 500C,

the new version "transformation" of the Turin compact.

It is 1:1 scale replicas of 20 made of fiberglass, and "cave"

inside and vases, to accommodate as many trees, species and sizes.

The collection here has the fell of notebook, an album, a scrap book, a treasure drawer,

an old shoe boxfilled with much loved items. It resembles a so-called “commonplace book” in which children and adults used to keep quotations and adages and cuttings and mementoes; originally, when someone like the great student exchange o scholar Erasmus was urging people to keep such records of their thoughts and readings and experiences, the objective was improvement, and the practice belonged to Protestant ethic that everyone should cultivate their sense of self in relationto God and to his creation and not waste time or fail to lay up moral and mental capital. But gradually commonplace books became stores of memories and pleasures, and turned into idiosyncratic personal hoards of private-even secret-instants of recognition and delight.

PS. It is a good idea’s CHANCE if we can go around Milano with a classic vespa :]
